Red Pepper SoupTurkey n Wild Rice Soup!  It’s new, so I don’t have a per-serving calorie count yet.  It’s a cream-based soup with green onion, carrots, celery, wild rice, brown rice, and a few green peas.  I think its gonna be a winner!

taboulehTabbouleh! So healthy, detoxifying and delicious!!!  Its a parsley salad with bits of couscous, green onion, tomato, mint, lemon and olive oil.  You’ll be amazed how fresh we serve it! (150 calories/serving)

 

 

 

Veggie-Curry SoupVeggi-Curry Soup!  We use the highest quality curry blend in this vegetable soup, with carrots, black beans, bell pepper, spinach and hints of ginger and peanuts. I think it’s my favorite soup. (150 calories/serving)

 

 

Amish SlawAmish Slaw!  This the tart-sweet slaw you find at the best BBQ joints in the south.  There is no mayo in this dish, so it can last (and improve) for weeks!  Includes onion, a bit of carrot, and an outstanding marinade!  (less than 90 calories per serving)

 

 

Roasted Garlic Hummus!  Hand-crafted never tasted better.  Lots of roasted garlic, lemon, and tahini. Served with a stack of celery, it makes for a flavorful and healthy snack filled with fiber, protein and joy (about 250 calories/container)

In Honor of those who sacrificed for our freedom

I wish to thank all the service men and women who served/currently serve our Country.  You have made our Country the safe and free place it is today;  you will always be remembered for this.  Many people like to criticize the way our Republic is managed; I am  proud of this Nation and the Constitution,  and what it has enabled it’s people to accomplish.

Soup Calendar: 5/21 – 5/25

Here is what we’re serving up!  It’s a bit sassy and surprising!  Our Red Pepper Soup is dense with sweet red peppers and the flavor is quite amazing since it is filled with lots of onion and garlic.  We’ll even add a toasted almond topper. This recipe includes a bit of organic half n half, so let me know if you prefer a vegan version in your order by Saturday AM. (180 calories/serving).

Bean Carrot  SaladThis is also a surprising hit!  Our Green Bean & Carrot side sounds bland, but it is really really tasty and fresh!  It includes some crunch of red radishes, red onion along with freshly blanched carrots and green beans.  Our zippy marinade and toasted sesame finish off this low-calorie treat.  (80 calories/serving).

HowSpicy Sweet Potato Soup about our mid-week special?  It’s one of our Souper’s  favorites, a vegetarian   Spicy Sweet Potato Soup.  Many flavors in this brothy soup, including tomatoes, coriander, cumin seed, and fresh ginger.  (130 calories/serving).

More flavor will excite you with our Mexican Quinoa Salad.  It’s naturally sweet from the corn, filled-with protein from the quinoa, and a slight spiciness from the chili powder, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, and sunflower seeds. (220 calories/serving).

Going back to our roots (no pun intended) with our Simply Veggie Soup. I suggest ordering by the quart, because it’s that yummy and a great solution for breakfast, a snack, or lunch/dinner.  Only about 90 calories per serving!  Yet, it’s filled with flavors from onions, leeks, carrots, celery, sweet potato, butternut squash, cabbage, tomatoes, etc.Lentil Salad

We offer a hearty side to go with your soup:  Mediterranean Lentil Salad.  Another favorite with lots of flavor and fiber.  A great source of protein from the lentils and garnished with carrots, parsley, bell pepper, red onion, and tons of spices.  Each serving is about 18 grams of protein, 16 grams of fiber and about 230 cals.

HowPumpkin Soup about our mid-week special?  It’s one of my favorites, a vegetarian southwest soup with surprising flavors:  Pumpkin Korn Soup (it seems zippier to spell it with a K).  Kinda hot with jalapeno and black beans, bell pepper, corn, and onion, with a pumpkin soup base.  Many say its super! (about 270 cals/serving, but will with fiber and plant protein).

beet saladI’m going to get my hands dirty with some tasty home-grown Roasted Beet Salad.  Great served cold or warm.  It will be accented with beet greens, onions, and dill.  Did you know beets are really really good for you?  And if you don’t think you like them, I’ll convert your opinion! Serving is about 130 calories.

Try our wholesome and hearty Tortellini Soup. It’s filled with love.  I’ll keep the calories down, but it has cheese-filled tortellini, chicken kielbasa, peas, and spinach.  Treat yourself, it’s still less than 250 cals per serving.Yup. another new recipe!  Try it and let us know what you think.  It’s an Amish Slaw.  No mayo, but a sweet n tart cabbage slaw that is a PURITAN delight.How about our mid-week special?  It’s guaranteed to be amazing!  Be the first to try our Cauliflower and Roasted Fennel Soup.  It’s pureed, yummy and so very nutritious.  This is a famous recipe and completely vegan and low calorie… so order it now!
