Awesome Asian Soup! Asian flavors…a little hot, a little sour. Flavors include: tofu, ginger, mushrooms, bok choy, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, water chestnuts, and cilantro.  This soup is great for calorie-consciousness people at only 90 calories per serving.

Roasted Beet Salad with Dill.  This a lovely side dish that can be served cold or warm.  We supply a tart dressing super-flavored with dill and mix it with beautiful deep red beets, slices of orange, and sweet onion and a sprinkle of walnut.  Great alone or on a bed of greens.   About 130 calories per serving.

Lovely Lentil Soup! Not yet a fan of the lentil bean?  Trust me, you’ll like this. Gluten-free, yet filling and fantastic; just not blinged out like those other trendy soups.  It has all the veggies you want and plenty of flavor (no curry).  Our generous serving is about 180 calories.

 
Amish Slaw!  This the tart-sweet slaw you find at the best BBQ joints in the south.  There is no mayo in this dish, so it can last (and improve) for weeks!  Includes onion, a bit of carrot, and an outstanding marinade!  (less than 90 calories per serving)


Chipolte Bean Dip  A creamy healthy bean dip with red onion, diced tomatoes, garlic, cumin and chili.  It’s a filling and healthy snack with lot’s of  fiber, protein and joy. Served with the usual celery stix.

 

Protein Wraps! 

This week, try our tasty and healthy Salmon Wrap.   This wrap is not chicken, its bold salmon blended in a dilly, lemon-yogurt dressing, with strips of c  runchy cucumber &green onions, all rolled in a bed of spring greens and flour tortilla.  About 350 cals/serving and served fresh and tasty!!   CAN REQUEST NO TORTILLA (lettuce wrap instead) if ordered by Saturday (saves about 150 calories)!

Your Souper Bowl Party Secret!

We’re getting ready for your Super Bowl festivities with Dad’s Meaty Chili for your game day!  It’s great all by itself or as a dip or topper!

This chili is not just attractive, it’s hot!  Back to its original recipe; you must be warned that it’s not for the faint of heart (although sour cream and cheese will temper the heat).  Don’t worry about calories, this is the antidote to low fat, low cholesterol, sugar free, healthy snacks.  And it’s officially approved for FREE PASS days for those on the Reset & Release Program.

Toasted Rice Soup!  Amazing taste with toasted brown rice, spinach, onions, lemon zest, and a hint of nutmeg in a vegetable broth.  I’ll include some Parmesan cheese as a topper to make this a SOUPer delight!   (200 calories/serving, inc the cheese).

 

Italian Collards!  It’s hearty, flavorful and oooo so good for you.  Collards simmered with onions, tomatoes, garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, and more.  May contain a bit of bacon fat, if needed. About 130 calories per serving.
Mushroom Spinach Soup Mushroom & Spinach Soup!  This soup ain’t pretty, but sure is flavorful and rich-tasting!  It’s pureed but still chunky with all sorts of mushrooms (boosts your immunities and lowers cholesterol) and onions, and then laced with spinach. Flavors include garlic, sherry, fennel, and a dash of red pepper flakes. (about 100 calories per serving).

 
Copper Pennies Copper Pennies !  This is a personal family recipe from our mid-west family.  Coin-diced carrots, with onion and pepper, then pickled in a savory-secret blend.  Thank you Grandma!  These gems keep for a long time, so you can store and enjoy for more than a week. Breadless Bruschetta Breadless Bruschetta!  This doesn’t come around too often, so seize the moment.  Our fresh bruschetta is made with diced tomatoes in garlic, olive oil, basil, and capers!  Of course, we won’t tell if you spread it on a baguette with mozzarella cheese. lemonGreek Lemon Soup!    It’s got that greek thing going on… lots of lemon in a chicken broth base.  We will add some brown rice, chick-peas, veggies and egg yolk (for richness).  Only 125 calories per serving!

 

Curried Chickpea Salad NEW!!  Another new offering for you to try!  Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) have so many nutrients, and aid in lowering cholesterol, weght loss and impacts of diabetes, It’s a dense source of protein and fiber. This recipe will be tasty with the addition of onions, tomatoes, zuchiini, tomato, and spices.  About 180 calories per serving.

Spicy Chicken Sausage Soup!  Time for a Tex/Mex yeee-hah kick!  Not quite chili, but some wonderful warm flavors.  I am cooking this by request, so order and taste what all the talk is about!  It includes some spicy chicken sausage, beans, hominy, kale, chipolte, jalapenos, and more spices!  Yum at 240 calories.

 

Harvard Beets  Harvard Beets!  Since you are family, I’ll share this dish with you.  Best served warm, these little jewel-colored roots are simmered with a sweet/clovey sauce.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it.  Calories are reasonable, trust me.
