Mushroom & Spinach Soup! This soup isn’t featured very often so enjoy it while you can! It is sure is flavorful and rich-tasting! It’s pureed but still chunky with all sorts of mushrooms (boosts your immunities and lowers cholesterol) and leeks, onions, and then laced with spinach. Flavors include garlic, sherry, fennel, and a dash of red pepper flakes. (about 100 calories per serving).
Mediterranean Lentils! Another favorite with lots of flavor and fiber. A great source of protein from the lentils and garnished with carrots, parsley, bell pepper, red onion, and tons of spices. Each serving is about 16 grams of protein, 15 grams of fiber and about 190 cals.
Spicy Bean & Chicken Sausage Soup! Not quite chili, but some wonderful warm flavors. I am cooking this by request, so order and taste what all the talk is about! It includes some spicy chicken sausage, beans, hominy, kale, chipolte, jalapenos, and more spices! Yum at 240 calories.
Sesame Green Beans! Can be served cold or hot, and best when eaten with your fingers. Fresh green beans, blanched and combined with a soy-dressing and sesame seeds! Super low-calorie (less than 80 cals/serving) makes this a sin-less side dish.
Sesame Hummus! Home-made and delicious! Lemon, garlic, cumin, with an splash of sesame oil to intensify the flavor! Served with a stack of celery sticks. A very healthful and fulfilling snack or meal!
PROTEIN WRAPS! This week, try our tasty and healthy Italiano Wrap! All the flavor and mindful of the calories..we bring you a zesty meal. A sprinkle of dry salami, couscous, black olive, pepperccini, red onion, basil and romaine. Can request veggie or chicken, in place of salami, if ordered by Saturday.
Cari’s Green Salad! Our BIG green salads are fresh, seasonal, and diversified with a variety of veggies, protein, fiber and flavor! This week’s salad includes a bed of romaine with walnuts, raisins, celery, green onion, bell pepper, green peas, and avocado. Served with a honey-dijon vinaigrette. (less than 220 calories/ container).You can ADD 64 grams of fresh roasted chicken to your salad for only $1.50 (please order by Friday).
Hand-crafted Power Bars! Handy, tasty, healthy, and chemical/ preservative-free (so much better than the commercial ones that stay on the grocery shelf for a year!). Each bar contains 15 grams of protein and only 180 calories. This is a great snack/breakfast solution for busy day. This week flavors, as available: Lemon, or Pumpkin Spice.
Energy Brownies n Bars ! Everyone needs a treat now and then! Walnut Brownies or Pecan Blondies. Home-made and best eaten frozen, in my opinion! Just a few bites can satisfy your needs!
