Lovely Lentil Soup! Not yet a fan of the lentil bean? Trust me, you’ll like this. Gluten-free, yet filling and fantastic; just not blinged out like those other trendy soups. It has all the veggies you want and plenty of flavor (no curry). Our generous serving is about 180 calories.
Marinated Cucumbers! Simple, refreshing, and will last for a long time (but I bet you gobble it up before that). This is something my Grandma served up during most Sunday suppers. Sliced cucumbers and sweet onions in a home-made sweetened vinegar dressing. They’ll get marinated and a bit pickled and oh so tasty. Excellent for nibbling when the hunger or mood strikes. And, the the calories are less than 80 cals a serving, so it hardly counts!
Roasted Cauliflower n Fennel Soup! This smooth, soothing soup will not only warm your taste buds, it will cure your gastro ailments. Fennel provides an excellent source of potassium, vitamin C, and fiber. In addition, herbalists refer to fennel as an intestinal antispasmodic that relieves intestinal spasms or cramps. This is a vegan, low-calorie, delicious meal! About 160 cals per serving.
Chipolte Chickpea Dip! Simply delicious! Lemon, garlic, chipolte, cumin, cilantro, and home-cooked chickpeas. Perfect balance of spicy, heat, sweet and healthy! Served with a stack of zucchini. It makes for a flavorful and healthy snack filled with fiber, protein and joy
PROTEIN WRAPS! This week, try our Chicken Parmesan Wrap. A healthier version of this zesty classic. We include fresh roasted chicken with a little Parmesan cheese, couscous, wheat pasta with marinara, fresh basil, red onion, and some crunchy romaine. Less than 350 cals/serving and served fresh and tasty! CAN REQUEST NO TORTILLA if ordered by Saturday (saves about 150 calories)!!
Holiday Green Salad! Our BIG green salads are fresh, seasonal, and diversified with a variety of veggies, protein, fiber and flavor! This week’s salad includes: tomato, roasted beets, Feta cheese, bell pepper with basil, green onion, celery, and kidney beans, with a creamy Ranch dressing. (less than 250 calories/container). You can ADD 64 grams of fresh roasted chicken to your salad for only $1.50 (please order by Saturday).
Hand-crafted Power Bars! Handy, tasty, healthy, and chemical/ preservative-free (so much better than the commercial ones that stay on the grocery shelf for a year!). Each bar contains 15 grams of protein and only 180 calories. This is a great snack/breakfast solution for busy day. This week flavors, as available: Choco-Peanut or Pumpkin Spice
Energy Brownies n Bars ! Everyone needs a treat now and then! Expresso Brownies. Home-made and best eaten frozen, in my opinion! Just a few bites can satisfy your needs!
