Lovely Lenti Soup Lovely Lentil Soup!  Not yet a fan of the lentil bean? Trust me, you’ll like this. Gluten-free, yet filling and fantastic; just not blinged out like those other trendy soups.  It has all the veggies you want and plenty of flavor (no curry).  Our generous serving is about 180 calories.

 

 

Oriental Slaw Oriental Slaw! It’s raw, with a delicate sesame dressing. Cabbage is mixed with green onion, carrots, bean sprouts, toasted sesame seeds, almonds, bell pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro. A nice low-calorie side or snack at 80 calories per serving.

African Yam n Kale African Yam & Kale Soup!  This soup has a wonderful ethnic feel to it. Brothy with a bit of chili powder, garlic, curry, and yellow miso paste and brown rice.   About 150 cals per serving.

amish slaw Amish Slaw!  This the tart-sweet slaw you find at the best BBQ joints in the south.  There is no mayo in this dish, so it can last (and improve) for over a week!  Includes onion, a bit of carrot, and an outstanding marinade!  (less than 90 calories per serving)

Hot n Sour Soup Hot n Sour Soup!  Asian flavors…a little hot, a little sour. Flavors include:  ginger, garlic, mushrooms, bok choy, bamboo shoots, red bell pepper, water chestnuts, and cilantro.  This soup is great for calorie-consciousness people at only 90 calories per serving.

Mediterranean Chowder Mediterranean Red Chowder!   Give it a try:  It’s so refreshing, exotic, and nutritious!  Flavors include a tomato base with red pepper, eggplant, basil and lots of lemon zest and other Mediterranean flavors.   It is also less than 150 calories/serving.

Marinated Cucumbers Marinated Cucumbers! Simple, refreshing, and will last for a long time (but I bet you gobble it up before that). This is something my Grandma served up during most Sunday suppers. Sliced cucumbers and sweet onions in a home-made sweetened vinegar dressing. They’ll get marinated and a bit pickled and oh so tasty. Excellent for nibbling when the hunger or mood strikes.  And, the the calories are less than 80 cals a serving, so it hardly counts!

Roasted Beets Roasted Beet Salad with Dill!  This a lovely side dish that can be served cold or warm.  We supply a tart dressing super-flavored with dill and mix it with beautiful deep red beets, sweet onion and a sprinkle of toasted walnuts. Great alone or on a bed of greens.   About 130 calories per serving.

Potato Leek Soup Potato Leek Soup! So soothing, creamy and tasty … without any dairy.  We roast potatoes w/ skin and garlic, combine it with sauteed leeks, and a bit of corn.  Then we season it with parsley, thyme and marjoram. Semi-pureed this time.  Calories are about 180.
