Tawdry Tortellini Soup! It’s so good, it’s sinful (yet far healthier than a restaurant version). Of course it’s filled with love, but I’ll keep us in calorie-control with cheese-filled tortellini, kielbasa, peas, and spinach. Treat yourself, it’s still less than 250 cals per serving
Mexican Quinoa! I love this deli-side – it’s light, zippy, and filled with good proteins! It’s naturally sweet from the corn and red peppers, filled-with protein from the quinoa, and a very slight spiciness from the chili powder, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, and sunflower seeds. It’s dense with nutrition at 200 cals/serving.
Carrot n Date Bisque! Thank you Chef Shafer, of the Depot (downtown Torrance), for sharing this delightful treat. It’s sweet, light, tasty and creamy. Let’s enjoy. This will include a very small amount of dairy.
Detox Tabouleh! For you Soup Groupers, you know this is a rare and special offering…. We love this cleansing parsley salad, and hope you do too. It takes a lot of work to pick off the little leaves and finely chop, so please enjoy all the love that goes into it! FRESH!!!!!!!!! We include parsley, green onion, Roma tomato, mint, fresh lemon and a dash of bulgar. Each serving is less the 130 calories.
Black Bean Dip! A creamy healthy bean dip with red onion, tomato, garlic, cumin and Jalepeno chili. It’s a filling and healthy snack with lot’s of fiber, protein and joy. Served with cucumbe discs
Holiday Stuffin Wrap/Bowl NEW!! We are improving our previous turkey wrap with a healthier venue! Our “stuffin” will be akin to turkey bread stuffing, but made from a coarse whole/grain bulgar. Still mixed with sauteed green n white onion, celery, parsley, cranberries and seasonings. Roasted TURKEY breast upon request (see below)! All rolled up with crunchy romaine and a flour tortilla. Less than 350 cals/serving and served fresh and tasty!
Festive Green Salad! Our BIG green salads are fresh, seasonal, and diversified with a variety of veggies, protein, fiber and flavor! This week’s salad includes: avocado, grape tomatoes, garbanzo beans, red onion w/mint, carrots, snap peas, and blueberries, with a home-made balsamic vinegar dressing (less than 250 calories/container). You can ADD 42 grams of fresh roasted turkey (if supplies last) or 64 g chicken to your salad for only $1.50 (please order by Saturday).
Hand-crafted Power Bars! Handy, tasty, healthy, and chemical/ preservative-free (so much better than the commercial ones that stay on the grocery shelf for a year!). Each bar contains 15 grams of protein and only 180 calories. This is a great snack/breakfast solution for busy day. This week flavors, as available: Cherry-Almond or Pumpkin-Spice
Energy Brownies n Bars ! Everyone needs a treat now and then! Home-made and best eaten frozen, in my opinion! Just a few bites can satisfy your needs!
