black bean soup Brazilian Black Bean Soup!  Brazil : warm but mild with a bit of exotic latin flavor in a hearty, healthy soup. And, I’m told it freezes well. This is a semi-pureed soup with a bit of garlic, cumin, carrots, coriander and laced with sherry and orange juice, and a bit of bacon crumbles! Calories are 200 per serving. Vegan version available upon request.

Karmic Carrots

Karmic Carrots! Thinly sliced blanched carrots is the magic in this side dish.  Add some orange sweetness and savory spices, with some dried cranberries and toasted almonds; you might transform metaphysically! Each serving is less the 100 calories.

Shroom n Barley Soup How about some hearty, un-beefy Rich Barley w/ Shrooms Soup. It’s vegetarian but will have the savory rich taste that belongs with barley and mushrooms. Many say it’s their favorite soup enjoyed hot or cold!  What more can we say?

Mexican Quinoa Mexican Quinoa! I love this deli-side –  it’s light, zippy, and filled with good proteins!  It’s naturally sweet from the corn and roasted red peppers, filled-with protein from the quinoa, and a very slight spiciness from the chili powder, cilantro, lime juice, cumin, and sunflower seeds.  It’s dense with nutrition at 200 cals/serving.
